Winter Crafting

First of all, I want to thank you all so much for your words of wisdom yesterday regarding my little "slump."  After reading them I felt so motivated last night that I cooked dinner, spent a couple hours cleaning the house, finished a project, and even did a little baking (the results of which will be shared in an upcoming post).

Now to the crafting...

A few weeks ago while my mom and I were out shopping, we stopped into a store that had used tons of glittery pine cones to decorate for Christmas.  They were everywhere- hanging in the windows, filling vases, tucked into little nooks next to candles, etc.  Because they looked really simple to make, and because we share a somewhat obsessive love of glitter we decided to do some for our own homes.

So, last Saturday we got together, picked up some pine cones at Michael's, busted out the glitter, and got to work.

Here's the end result:

We may have overdone it a little, considering the fact that I ended up with enough pine cones to create a decent sized forest, but oh well. You can never have too much glitter in your house, right?

P.S. On a totally unrelated note, look at these ridiculously cute elves my mom had out at her house.  I love them so much, that I'm secretly hatching a plan to abscond with them the next time I'm there.

Have you done any crafting for Christmas yet? I feel like this is just the beginning of the Christmas crafting for me.  I have so many things saved on Pinterest, that I'm can't wait to make!
