Clothing posts seem a little presumptuous right? Right, I mean do people really want to see what I wear once every other week? Probably not, but I' going to show you anyway.
Since this is my first ever outfit post, I thought I'd begin by explaining a few things about my style...
1. I'm Fairly New to Fashion
In high school, I actually said the words "I'd rather spend money on music than clothes." It wasn't until college that I started to dress better, so my style is still evolving.
2. I Attend a Small Bible College in Iowa
Not exactly a fashion hub. There are a handful of girls who take an interest in fashion. Those of us who do are used to the judgy eyes of others. My goal is to respectfully push the boundaries of what is accepted around here and occasionally I'll show you other girls who are doing the same (most of them doing it better than I will be).
I will probably make jokes about my school sometimes, but just remember that I like my school and the people here (even if they think I'm weird...I think a lot do). I also know that people here have concerns other than how they look and that's ok too.
I'll explain my style more in later posts, but I think those are the basics.
Typically I wont take pictures of myself, my friend Liz agreed to take pictures for me, but she couldn't find her camera today so this is what you get...
I didn't include much of my jeans because I started with skinny jeans, then looked at the picture and hated them. Then I tried on all of the jeans I own...twice...and ended up with trouser jeans that I really don't like and only own because I dried my Gap trouser jeans and they are too short...Ok , I actually ended up with the skinny jeans.
Here is what my hands are wearing almost everyday...

This gold ring from a store in Rhinelander.

This silver flower ring given to me by my Great Aunt.
This moonstone ring from the same store as the first ring (it looks better in real life).Tank: Old Navy
Shirt: Target
Vest: Thrifted
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Target

You crack me up! Your outfit is cute though! I love that we as girls will try on the same thing like 4 times and go back to what we originally planned in the first place. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteVery cute :)
ReplyDeleteI have those shoes, too! :) LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteWait...did YOU dry your Gap jeans or are those the ones that I dried??? I AM SO SORRY IF I RUINED YOUR JEANS!!! :( :( :(
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit though :)
I chuckled at "judgy eyes." No kidding.
ReplyDeleteReally cute outfit, though :)
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteBraimee- Yeah, I almost always just go with the skinny jeans, but now that I'm taking pictures of myself, I realize how much I hate my thighs. So I think this jeans problem will be a common occurance now.
Angie-No,you dried the Old Navy jeans and they ended up fitting better.
Liz-Thanks, but I can't really claim that one. I think I got it from Josh.

ReplyDeleteI live in Los Angeles, we don't really get "judgy eyes" -- some people can have strange fashion picks but others don't mind.;D
ReplyDeleteLoving the flats and accessories!:D
