Doughnuts Glorius

Friends, my world has just been rocked. Today, I learned that for only $40, I can be the proud owner of a Sunbeam doughnut maker. Yeah, you heard me. Doughnut. Maker. My love affair with doughnuts has been going on as long as I can remember, so this little yellow contraption is pretty much a dream come true for me. It cranks out five doughnuts in just a few minutes, which means that if I so choose, I can partake of these glorius baked goods every blessed morning. Going straight to the top of my Christmas list? Yes and yes.

Need some inspirtaion for fabulous doughnut recipes to go along with your new fabulous doughnut maker? Check out these two books.

A Little Something for You

Just thought I'd share some music with you...
Last night my sister and I went to a Joshua Radin concert (awesome). This band, Good Old War, opened up for him and I kind of fell in love with them

Here is some Josh Radin for you too...sorry about the end, I don't really know how to record on my camera.

Christmas Sneak Peak

I love Christmas. Love love love love it. Every year around this time, I start getting really REALLY excited for the Holiday season, and I have a hard time forcing myself to hold off on the Christmas music and decorations, until after Thanksgiving. So to hold me over until the time when I can burst into the full blown Christmas spirit, I've picked out a few fantastic non-traditional Christmas decorations so share with you. Enjoy!

Elf Candle Holders from CB2

Pop Up Mistletoe Ball from MOMA

Merry Christmas Garland from Anthropologie

Trimmings from Karaboo Ribbons

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree from Fred Flare

Feather Clip

Ever since I saw Promise Tangeman wearing this, I have wanted to make a feather clip, because many of you have probably realized that one of my goals in life is to be as cool as her (unattainable I know).

I probably shouldn't have shown that picture, because mine is not nearly as cool, but I'm relatively happy with it.

It's my second attempt at making one, my first one was pretty awful and not blog worthy. So, I ripped the button/pin thing off and attempted a new one. Here is an incredibly awkward picture of me wearing it...

Shoe Boxes...or Photo Boxes

I would highly recommend that all of you check out Operation Christmas Child. Through this organization, you can pack shoe boxes with toys and things for children in other countries.
While picking out things for my box, I realized that I have an addiction to shopping. I love it even if I'm not getting things for myself. This addiction has started since I've been in college, which is strange since college makes me pretty poor. So, with this, I decided to channel my shopping energies into this...

There is still some time to send in a box. If you are interested, go here and have some fun with it!

Inspiration Friday- The Ultimate Treehouse

Today's Inspiration Friday can be placed in the "how in the world have I not heard of this before" file. It features only one thing- the Treehotel in Sweden, and it's flat out unbelivable. It's so inspiring on it's own, I feel it justifies a dedicated post. Take a look, and tell me what you think...

1. The Mirror Cube

2. The Cabin

3. The UFO

4. Blue Cube

5. Birds Nest

Ready to book your tickets to Sweden? I am.

Ideal Bookshelf

How cute are these book collection prints from Jane Mount? For a moderate price (considering it's original custom artwork), you can send her a list of your favorite books, and she will turn them into a lovely drawing of your "Ideal Bookshelf." I just love this idea. I'm a book hoarder, and this would be such a unique way to display some of my favorites.
Can't afford a personalized piece? Check out her Esty shop, where you can pick up one of her premade creations for as little as $15.

Perfect Christmas gift idea for the bookworm on your list? I believe so. You're welcome:)

Inspiration Friday

Happy Friday Everyone! Here's why I am inspired today........

1. Mugs

Not sure why, but I really love them....to the point that I have a whole shelf full of them and my husband is afraid it will come crashing down if I try to cram even one more on it. I think it's because, there usually comes along with a mug, some delicious comforting liquid (coffee, hot chocolate, cider...mmm) that can make all the days troubles just melt away.

2. Kate Spade's London Pop Up Shop

I'm sure you have already seen at least one picture of the awesomeness that is Kate Spade's London Pop Up Shop, as it's been blogged all over creation. Seriously though, this place is so amazing, which one of us wouldn't want to just move in and set up house for a while?

3. Ballon Animal Sculptures

I am so in love with this series of balloon animal scupltures by Jeff Koons. They are colorful and bright, and look like they are something straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

4. The Pupster

Remember way back in February when, during an Inspiration Friday, I blogged about my love for bulldogs? Well, the dream has finally become a reality. On Tuesday, we brought home our very own bulldog puppy, and I couldn't be more excited! Only one problem- we haven't been able to come up with a name yet! Any ideas?

5. Winter

Because of the weird summer we've had, it seems like fall has just arrived. However, winter is just around the corner. I can feel it coming, and I'm so excited. Call me odd, but winter is one of my favorite times of the year. I love bundling up and braving the cold, I love sparkling white snow, and I LOVE the Holidays!

Interactive Wallpaper- Graham & Brown

Today, one of my co-workers clued me in to what is possibly the coolest wallpaper of all time. It's from Graham & Brown, and features blank "frames" of varying shapes and sizes. The possibilities here are really endless. It looks great on a wall by itself, but takes on a whole new light when filled in with kid's artwork, or family photos & mementos. This could be in a hundred different rooms, and never look the same twice!
