Canvas

Remember when Lands End was best known for monogrammed backpacks and classic (if not a little boring) clothing? Well, banish those memories- because Lands End has come out with a brand new line called Canvas, and it's downright perfect. The clothes are still classic, and high quality, but there has been just enough style injected to make their pieces deserving of a place in your closet. Check out their website- their styling is super cute, and there are enough fall basics up for grabs to get you set for the entire season.

Exposed!

I pretty much am in love with our cute house. We designed and built it from the ground up, and there are very few things I would change about it. However, the one thing I would LOVE to have but don't, is an exposed brick wall somewhere in the house. I love the look and feel of exposed brick, and I love the atmosphere it gives a room. I especially love authentic old sort of crumbly looking brick. It's like having a piece of history right in your own home. Last night I was watching my new favorite show, The Antonio Treatment, on HGTV, and he did this amazing faux aged brick wall in a home gym. It was so awesome- I definitely want to try something like this when we finish off our basement!

Book of the Month Club

How cute are these little book of the month clutches from Kate Spade? A little kitchy, yes. But how can something that combines my love of bags with my love of books be bad?

Mondays Need Inspiration Too

You may have noticed that we here at Ruffles & Ramblings really love Anthropologie. Alot. Here's the reason why.....

It's almost too much inspiration for just one post! How's that for something inspiring to get your Monday going?

Inspiration Friday

It's that time again....

1. Chandeliers

I'm a thousand percent in love with chandeliers and always have been. Sadly, I don't have one in my house...yet. It will happen though- I'm hoping to one day get a gigantic obnoxious one and hang it in my craft room. This is mainly because I'm not sure my husband would let me get away with it in any other room:)

2. Janelle Monae

This. Girl. Is. Awesome. Her style is unbelievable, her hair rocks, her dance moves are out of this world, and her music is just cool. I mean really, what's not to love?

3. Cursive

I'm one of the few people I know who only writes in cursive. In fact, my printing is terrible because I do it so rarely. I just love the look of the swirling swooping letters. I feel like it's something beautiful left over from another era.

4. Fall

Is it time for fall yet? No? Drat. Maybe I'm crazy for wanting summer to be over, but I'm really REALLY ready for fall. It has always been my favorite season by far. I think everything about it is beautiful. Plus, I love sweaters. And pumpkins.

5. Trolleys

What can I say? They are just straight up cool. They are huge, they are usually painted awesome colors, and they get to drive down the middle of the street. 'Nuff said.
